Instagram publishing guide

Instagram Business Account ID and Access Token.

Instagram publishing in Oryginal works best when the Instagram professional account, the Facebook Page connection, and the Meta access token all belong to the same controlled business setup.

What each field does

The two Instagram values inside Oryginal

IG_User_ID

Use the Instagram Business Account ID for the account that should publish.

  • Use the numeric business account ID, not the visible username.
  • Make sure the Instagram account is the real publishing account, not a reference profile.
  • This value should match the professional account connected in your Meta setup.

IG_Access_Token

Use the Meta access token that can publish on the connected Instagram Business account.

  • Paste the raw token string only.
  • Use a token from the same Meta setup that controls the connected Instagram account.
  • If permissions or account connections are wrong, posting will fail even if the token looks valid.
Setup logic

How to keep the Instagram stack stable

  1. Use a professional Instagram account intended for publishing.
  2. Connect that Instagram account to the correct Facebook Page in the Meta business stack.
  3. Retrieve the Instagram Business Account ID from that connected setup.
  4. Use the matching Meta token from the same publishing flow.
  5. Store both values in Oryginal as one Instagram publishing pair.

In practice, Instagram issues become easier to troubleshoot when the Facebook Page and Instagram account are clearly connected before the values reach Oryginal.

Validation

What to check before saving

  • Check that the account is a business/professional publishing account.
  • Check that the Facebook Page connection exists and is the one you intend to use.
  • Check that the token belongs to the same Meta business flow.
  • Check that Oryginal is only configured for Instagram if the account is actually ready for use.

A valid token by itself is not enough. For Instagram, connection quality matters just as much as credential quality.

Common problems

Mistakes that break Instagram publishing

  • Pasting the Instagram username instead of the Instagram Business Account ID.
  • Using a Meta token that belongs to the wrong business or wrong Page connection.
  • Skipping the Facebook Page connection step and assuming Instagram works independently.
  • Mixing credentials from test and production setups.
